General Summary of the Job: The Corporate Headquarters of ESA, located in Nashville, Tennessee, has an opening for a Division Controller to manage and ensure budgetary conformance within its College Living Experience (CLE) division. This position is responsible for preparation of operating budgets and review of expenditures, working directly with Site Directors to effectively manage the fiscal operations of all CLE sites. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing, analyzing, and managing annual budgets for multiple sites,
- Analyzing budget variances and preparing operating indicator management reports,
- Analyzing detail trend income statements for needed accruals and preparing applicable management reports,
- Tracking enrollments and other statistical data,
- Acting as a corporate liaison to field operations, training and assisting Directors and Office Managers in accounting and budgetary related functions.
- Researching general ledger detail accounts from Windows based accounting system and preparing analysis in Excel.
- Analyzing accounts receivable activity and preparing monthly unearned revenue reports,
- Monitoring and scrutinizing payroll expenditures and staffing schedules.
- Assisting site directors in development and review of all contracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency required in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, CRM, and Outlook.
- Must be willing to travel as necessary.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Great Plains experience beneficial, but not required.
