ESA’s College Living Prep program has an opening for an experienced Teacher to work with learning disabled students. This program, located in Roswell, Georgia, focuses on providing educational services as well as social skills development to traditional and learning disabled students who need help obtaining their high school diploma in preparation for college. We are looking for qualified individuals who have a passion for education and a heartfelt desire to work with this population to help them succeed in achieving individual goals.
General Summary of the Job:
Our Teachers are responsible for planning curricula and classroom schedules, preparing lesson plans and other instructional materials and providing effective instruction in the Academic, Social and Behavioral arenas for each individual student. In addition, this position requires managing classroom activities and student behavior, along with reporting student progress and maintaining appropriate records. Experience in IEP writing, staffing meetings and IEP related assessments is required.

Requirements:
The position requires Special Education Learning Disabilities License with a minimum Certificate Level of 4, a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) from an accredited college or university and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience that qualifies the individual to teach students diagnosed with high functioning Autism and Asperger’s. Candidates must be highly organized, structured, and willing to learn new skills.
